Rotavalve

Maintaining an efficient and effective wastewater disposal system is all about promoting a healthy environment in the soil receiving the water. It is important to have happy bugs, microorganisms that live within the soil and break down material suspended within the wastewater. The suspended solids can block up the available pore space through which the water must flow.

Micro organisms will thrive in the environment provided by the Reo-Drain leach drain system.

It is best, however, to give your bugs a holiday. You can do this by re-directing the wastewater from one half of your drains to the other. A six monthly rotation cycle will allow any clogging layer that has built up to be fully broken down. Restoring the soil's ability to receive wastewater and improve the level of filtration available to clean the water while in the soil.

The Diverter Description

The Hi-Flow diverter valve has been designed to re-direct as much water as possible away from the resting drains to the active drains. It is a lightweight 100mm PVC product with a simple hinge mechanism that ensures the handle and diverting paddle cannot be removed after installation.

The diverter is also designed to ensure that wastewater cannot overflow to the resting drains without manual diversion.

This ensures that an event of drain failure is recognized through the usual symptoms, slow water movement out of the plumbing fixtures etc, before failure of the previously resting drains can occur. In this way the Hi-Flow Diverter ensures that there is always 50% available capacity in the event of drain failure.

Inspection and cleaning of the sullage line from the pre-treatment tank is always easy with the Hi-Flow Diverter through the 100mm screw on access cap.
